After its establishment in 1992, AIS (former Stereopia) concentrated on developing Intelligent Vision System (vision inspection equipment) that utilizes image processing techniques.

Based on experience of developing many different types of systems, in March 1995 AIS chose the 'stereoscopic 3D media' as its strategic Internet business area. For the following 7 years, the company has acquired solid technologies in stereoscopic system through series of investments on equipment development (such as stereoscopic 3D HD camera) and content production.

In an attempt to fully focus on stereoscopic 3D business, AIS changed its name to 'Stereopia' in August 2000. It is now fast securing its position as a top-notch content producer and stereoscopic 3D system developer.

With its advanced technology widely recognized, Stereopia was appointed as a developer of stereoscopic 3D HDTV camera for stereoscopic broadcasting of 2002 FIFA World Cup games. This national project, organized by Ministry of Information and Communication and ETRI (Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute), was completed successfully thanks to Stereopia's superb technology. Stereopia is now building viable business models with its stereoscopic HDTV camera. In this era of 'New Media' where more and more personal computers with stereoscopic display are getting available, Stereopia is putting its full efforts to grow to be a world leader in the stereoscopic 3D media industry.

Stereopia has secured all the core technologies for stereoscopic 3D business; including development of full digital stereoscopic 3D camera, stereoscopic filming/editing/processing skills, and development of stereoscopic displays. Stereopia proudly announces that it has strongest worldwide competitiveness in production of stereoscopic content. It now seeks for diverse strategic partnership with prominent companies in the domestic and overseas stereoscopic 3D industry.



Stereopia's corporate visions are 'Utilization of media suited to the content', 'Creative technology that turns imagination to reality', and 'Development of human-oriented content full of intellectual satisfaction'. It pursues to be a specialist in producing 'Emotion-based Content'. By applying stereoscopic 3D technology to information technology, delivery of information can be a real fun, and Stereopia will concentrate on developing 'Infortainment' content.




The corporate name 'Stereopia' comes from the words 'stereoscopic' and 'Utopia'. It visualizes Stereopia's vision of bringing the dream society of information technology that could be achieved through realistic content of stereoscopic technology.

The black boxes that contain white letters of 'Stereopia' in the company logo signify digital information that is consisted of '0' and '1', or 'on' and 'off'. The red, green and blue colors used in the letters 'pia' are three primary colors of light and deliver the image of Stereopia as a specialist of digital color image. The character 'O' of 'Stereopia' is replaced with an icon of an eye, and it symbolizes the realistic world perceived by our eyes.
